Turkey Burgers With Feta & Sun-Dried Tomatoes
These mouthwatering turkey burgers are a healthy summer BBQ hit.
Ingredients
- Turkey Burger
- 1.5 lbs ground turkey
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup feta Try Krinos Crumbled Feta.
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil drained and chopped (Try Krinos.)
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 2 tbsp flat-leaf parsley chopped
- 2 tsp oregano Try Krinos Oregano.
- Salt and pepper
- Topping
- 6 Burger buns

- sliced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup mushrooms sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 2 tbsp capers drained (Try Krinos.)
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions
- Preheat barbecue grill to high for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine burger ingredients and mix to combine, being careful not to over mix.
- Shape into 6 patties, each 1/2-inch ( about 1 cm) thick.
- Reduce heat to medium and place burgers on lightly greased grill, cover and cook for about 8 minutes on each side or until an instant-read thermometer inserted sideways into the centre reads 165°F (74°C).
- Meanwhile, in a skillet melt butter over medium heat and sauté mushrooms until golden.
- Stir in capers, lemon zest and juice and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Place burger patties on buns.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, and mushroom mixture.
- Serve with tzatziki.
