- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 cup walnut halves
- Dressing
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1-1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp dried parsley flakes
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp onion finely chopped
- Salad
- 5 cups torn romaine lettuce leaves
- 5 cups torn red leaf lettuce
- 1 medium green apple chopped
- 1 medium red apple chopped
- 1/2-1 cup feta cheese crumbled

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a small skillet, melt butter over medium heat; stir in sugar and pepper. Add walnuts; toss to coat. Spread evenly onto a baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned, about 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
- Place dressing ingredients in a blender; cover and process until blended. Place salad ingredients in a large bowl; toss with dressing. Top with walnuts. Serve immediately.
