Spicy Maple Syrup Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- Maple Syrup Glaze
- 2 cups 29 fevrier very dark maple syrup
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup soy sauce
- Chicken Wings
- 24 chicken wings
- 3/4 cup maple syrup glaze
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tbsp Tabasco or sambal or piripiri or sriracha
- 3 garlic cloves finely chopped

Maple Syrup Glaze
- In a deep saucepan (because maple syrup can boil over), pour in the maple syrup and bring to a boil for 10-15 minutes until it reaches 114 C = 237 F. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Add the cider vinegar and soy sauce.
- Over medium heat, reduce liquid by half (30-45 minutes) until syrupy.
Chicken Wings
- In a bowl, mix maple syrup glaze, tomato paste, Tabasco or spicy condiment and garlic.
- Add chicken wings and mix well.
- Refrigerate for 4h to 24 h.
- Preheat oven to 375°F- 190°C.
- Line baking sheet with parchment or aluminium foil paper.
- Place wings on sheet, cook 30-40 minutes.
