Biking gear 2017 – what to wear
Throughout the year, Montreal has over one hundred festivals open to the public. The Go Bike Montreal Festival allows cyclists from every age, level and ability to get outside and explore the city. Montreal becomes more accessible for riders of every level to explore by bike as kilometres of car free routes will be barricaded off during the tours. During the weekend, the most anticipated events are the Tour la Nuit and Tour de l’Île de Montréal.
The Tour la Nuit is on Friday June 2nd where cyclists will parade through the city in the evening for a 20km bike ride from Parc-La Fontaine Avenue beginning at 8:30 p.m. to Jeanne-Mance Park parading through the street. Whereas the Tour de l’Île de Montréal celebrates the 50th anniversary of Velo Quebc where cyclists are serenaded by Vincent Vallières at 9:15 a.m. at the start of a 50km route completed with themed stations along the way and a presentation by “Montréal Complètement Cirque” at the finish line.
As you’re making your weekend plans to go to the Go Bike Montreal Festival, here are some stylish cycling looks, and crucial gear, to help make packing a little bit easier.
