I’m addicted to Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream. It’s the only beauty product I can’t do without…which is somewhat unfortunate, because it’s so expensive! Also, I love my Clarisonic; when you wear as much makeup as I do for work, you need to get serious about exfoliating.
I alternate between Moroccanoil and Fekkai as my go-to shampoo and conditioner brands. They leave my hair feeling soft. And I just found a cool product called DevaCurl No-Poo, which cleans your hair without lathering up and stripping out the moisture. It’s a lifesaver because I have to wash my hair every day-not good for the locks.
When I’m not working, my makeup routine is simple-a bit of Giorgio Armani foundation mixed with my Crème de la Mer moisturizer so it’s sheer; concealer if I need it; and a lot of blush. I’ll curl my lashes but I don’t use mascara unless I’m going out at night. Diorshow and L’Oréal Paris Voluminous mascaras are my faves.

I love Cara’s All-Natural Products-and I love that this company is Canadian. I use their Luxury Dry Face Wash once a day; sometimes I leave it on as a mask. After showering, I use the Luxury Cream on my face. I also use Measha’s Body Butter, which was created specifically for me, using some of my favourite essential oils (it’s available for everyone from Cara). The scent is called Exotica and comes from a special blend of sandalwood, cedar wood and patchouli essential oils.
I wear TokyoMilk Arsenic and Tainted Love perfumes; in warm weather, I like Le Petit (also by TokyoMilk) and Hermès Un Jardin en Méditerranée.
I wear my hair natural. Because I colour it, I have to deep-condition it on a regular basis, so I use Earthtones Naturals Curl Condition Hydrating Conditioner every other day, and Earthtones Naturals Curl Replenish Restorative Hair Mask every one to two weeks.
I practise-and teach-Bikram yoga (hot yoga) three to four times a week, so I take a lot of showers. My after-conditioning routine is Earthtones Naturals Curl Quench Coconut Moisture Milk, a leave-in curl-control lotion that gives my hair the hydration and hold I need.
Good skin is the best makeup, but if I do want to bump it up, I’ll use mascara, a little facial oil for a natural glow, and lip gloss. All my makeup is M.A.C. I love that they are able to cater to the needs of all skin hues. They also have very concentrated colours that allow me to layer and easily go from casual to dramatic. I like the simplicity of the M.A.C packaging, too. More importantly, they have a recycling program where if you bring back six empty M.A.C containers, you can get a free lipstick!

On a daily basis, I use Proactiv+ pore-targeting treatment on my face. I also use Meaningful Beauty Crème de Sérum.
I prefer being natural, with minimal makeup. My go-to look is curled lashes with Diorshow Iconic mascara. I love Too Faced 3*Way Lash Lining Tool because it gets in between the lashes at the base of the lash line for a very natural look. I finish it off with some Chanel Joues Contraste blush.
I’m lucky to have naturally strong hair and nails. Whenever I can, I like to just let my hair air-dry, to give it a rest from the stress of being styled on Criminal Minds.
I take all of my regular products when I travel. Flying leaves my skin very dry, so it’s really not the time to divert from my standard beauty routine. I don’t want my skin to get angry at me! If it’s really dry, I love Dior HydrAction Sérum Radical Ultra Hydratant. I also up my water intake to stay hydrated.

When I was younger, I spent a lot of time in the sun and didn’t wear sunscreen. Now I always wear it. And I use Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Dark Spots Treatment, which is good for sunspots. As a moisturizer, I use Chanel Sublimage. It’s pricey, but I use it sparingly enough that I can justify it. It’s fantastic.
I fly a lot; I’m often in places where it’s very dry; and I work long hours-all things that are hard on your skin. If my skin is particularly dry, I’ll use a Chanel eye cream all over.
If I’m not going on camera or on set, I’ll do my makeup myself. I have a five-minute routine: first, a lightweight Chanel foundation; then blush, lipstick, eyebrow gel and brown eyeliner pencil. Washington, D.C., is incredibly humid, and my hair has a lot of curl in it, so I’ll go to a blow-dry bar before heading to the studio.
I use Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. They’re hypoallergenic, perfume-free and don’t dry out my skin-no muss, no fuss.

While I am not always super-diligent in following a skincare routine, there are things I use every day: In the morning, I wash my face with SkinCeuticals Simply Clean gel cleanser. I love this brand and have been devoted for years. I moisturize with Dr Sebagh High Maintenance Cream and also use the brand’s Eye Primer Lift. At night, I use SkinCeuticals gel cleanser with my Clarisonic-it really cleans off makeup and city debris. I put on Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment as an overnight exfoliant and then I’m off to bed.
My makeup routine is pretty low-key. I use a tinted moisturizer, concealer, mascara, a bit of bronzer and blush. Before I go out for an evening, I use a GlamGlow mask, which I buy at Gee Beauty in Toronto. I also add liquid eyeliner and a berry-coloured lip.
Makeup removal wipes are a lifesaver for before and after the gym and when you’re in a crunch-or just too tired to take off all your makeup! I always bring Burt’s Bees Facial Towelettes with White Tea Extract on a plane-flying is harsh on the skin, so I like to make sure I clean my face quickly once we land. Being on the road so much means a serious lack of sleep; Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Eye Mask helps to banish under-eye circles and puffiness.
I dye my hair, so to keep it as healthy as possible, I try not to blow-dry or iron it too much. I’ve been using Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz shampoo and conditioner, and I love the line. I also use their Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil, which is great to put in your hair after you wash it regardless of whether or not you are styling it. For nails: Being on the go, I find short and clean is the way to go. Nothing is worse than having chipped polish!

For the past decade, I’ve been getting photo-facials at SpaMedica in Toronto, about four times a year. The treatment gets rid of sunspots and age spots, and evens out my skin tone. I love Dermalogica products: I use their Multivitamin Power Serum daily, as well as the SkinPerfect Primer SPF 30. And I use the Dermalogica Precleanse oil to lift off all my TV makeup. I used to be a very simple mascara-and-blush girl, but now I’m getting better at doing my own makeup. I’ve recently started experimenting with eyeliner, at the age of 44! I use a Maybelline New York black pencil eyeliner. And I go to Gee Beauty for eyebrow threading.
I have frizzy hair, so I get keratin treatments done at the salon, and they really work. Even in hot, humid weather, the frizz is almost completely reduced. The treatment lasts for about four to five months.
I use a Jergens self-tanner to give my legs colour and make them look toned. When I’m going out to an event and wearing a skirt, I apply Caudalie body oil; it gives my legs just the right amount of sheen.
