Shop for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October marks the official kick-off to Breast Cancer Awareness month, an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
Given breast cancer is the most common cancer in Canadian women, it is imperative that we do everything we can to raise awareness about the disease, support women living with breast cancer, inform ourselves and others on how to take responsibility for our breast health, and assist in any way we can with research and funding. Find out how your diet can help lower your risk for breast cancer.
Over the years, many fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands have joined the fight against breast cancer by creating limited-edition products for Breast Cancer Awareness month, with a percentage of their proceeds going to research and funding. Others simply donate proceeds from existing products to breast cancer awareness charities. Canadian brands in particular have really stepped up their support, donating their proceeds to major local charities, such as Rethink Breast Cancer.
In honour of supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month (and local brands!), we’ve rounded up 10 Canadian products and brands who are taking action by benefitting breast cancer initiatives.
