According to the CIA World Factbook, Canada ranks 12 for life expectancy in comparison to the world, with an average life expectancy of 81.48 years. Canadian women have a considerably higher life expectancy rate than their male counterparts at 84.21 years. (The life expectancy for Canadian men is 78.89 years.)
Monaco boasts the highest life expectancy at 89.68 years. That’s nearly a decade longer than the life expectancy for Canadian men!
But what is it that makes these residents so healthy? According to the Huffington Post, it’s likely a combination of their Mediterranean diet, the relaxing atmosphere along the Mediterranean Sea and a clean environment.
