Pole dance is a fitness trend that’s been picking up in popularity with studios popping up all over the country. No longer just for fun bachelorette parties, "pole fitness" is being touted as a great way to lose weight, increase strength and build endurance. Plus, imagine the self-confidence that comes with being able to do this amazing art form!
Fans of pole fitness are working hard to have the fitness trend recognized as a sport. The Pole Fitness Association is even circulating petitions to get the dance form in the 2012 Olympic Games.
