We all know the stereotype: nagging wife, meek husband. Bad, right? But a new US study shows that there are benefits to nagging: apparently, men who live with a woman are 40% more likely than men who live alone to get screened for prostate cancer.
The study’s authors conclude that it’s the women in these men’s lives who are encouraging them to go to the doctor and therefore get screened for prostate cancer as well as other diseases, while men who live alone are likely to put off visits to their physician.
