The Latest Weird Celebrity Skincare Trend Is the Penis Facial…
First it was placenta, how it’s foreskin. The new celeb skin craze involves this totally bizarre ingredient.
Is baby foreskin the key to Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett’s youthful skin?
Women put a lot of weird stuff on their skin.
From snail mucus extract to bee venom, there’s no shortage of strange beauty treatments that promise to maintain the skin’s youthful glow.
But just when we’d thought we’d seen it all, Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett blew our minds with their most recent ritual: a penis facial. (You read that right.) The beauty treatment, offered by luxe NYC esthetician Georgia Louise, involves a cleanse, chemical peel, microneedling, an “electrifying” face mask and “Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)”, which is a serum derived from the foreskin of Korean newborns. (Hence, the “penis facial.”)
The facial – which by the way, costs an insane US $650 – is said to generate collagen and elastin in the skin, specifically caused by the EGF application.
The brains behind the beauty ritual, Georgia Louise, swears the facial transforms the skin, which is why she suggested Bullock go for it in the first place: “I wanted to give her something that would transform her skin without the need to undergo lasers, so I loaded up her bespoke facial with something that would give her long-lasting results.” From there, the “penis facial was born.”
And now, Blanchett and Bullock aren’t the only two A-listers asking for this particular type of skin treatment. Louise says she has “text threads that would blow your mind from celebs, asking for the ‘penis treatment’ all the time now.”
So what do you think? Will this trend gain steam or be relegated to the annals of internet history?
