Relief for email addicts

I just read on cbc.ca that some resorts in the Rockies are offering visitors "electronic rehab" packages where they take away—and lock up—your electronic devices to give you more time to take advantage of the area’s more healthful offerings, such as outdoor recreation, meditation and spa visits.

Having just bought an iPhone, I can see the appeal of this idea. I was an Internet and email addict already, but being able to keep the Internet in my purse means it’s that much harder to take a break from it. I think if I had my iPhone with me on vacation, I’d have a hard time not using it. And since it’s my phone, it would be a lot less convenient to leave it behind than to leave behind a laptop.
