Do you have the body mass index of a Russian, a Brazilian or a Kenyan? A cool new tool from the BBC can answer that. Its BMI calculator is based on data put together by researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. It tells you if you have a healthy body mass index (BMI) and, with the help of data from the United Nations and the World Health Organization, shows how you rank against the average BMI of citizens from other nations. You input your age, sex, height, weight and nationality, and you’ll be given a number that indicates your BMI. Try it out for yourself!

Scary fact: Though North America accounts for only six percent of the global population, it is home to more than 33 percent of the world’s obese people.
