It’s the time of year when many are suffering from seasonal affective disorder (SAD). One in five Canadians will experience a mental-health issue at some point in their lives, but many won’t seek help because of the stigma. That’s a big reason Bell launched the Let’s Talk campaign three years ago; this year, on Jan. 28, Bell will donate five cents toward mental-health programs for every text message and long-distance call made that day by Bell and Bell Aliant customers. Let’s Talk spokesperson and six-time Olympic medallist Clara Hughes (pictured) is taking on a huge challenge for the awareness campaign: She will be cycling 12,000 kilometres over 110 days, basically around the perimeter of Canada. Yes, the perimeter of Canada! Best Health is proud to be a media parter for Clara’s Big Ride.
