"Broken Heart Syndrome" more common in women
Break-ups can literally break hearts, and it turns out women are nine times more likely than men to suffer from "broken heart syndrome". The condition is tbrought on by emotional trauma, such as a divorce or death of a loved one, and it triggers heart attack-like symptoms. Botox now approved for migraines in Canada
It’s not just for crow’s feet anymore. Health Canada recently gave doctors the OK to treat migraine sufferers with the popular muscle relaxant. Botox has been shown to alleviate migraines when injected into the face and neck every three months. One in 10 will have diabetes by 2030
November is Diabetes Awareness month, and it’s shocking to learn that diabetes will affect one in 10 adults by 2030. That’s approximately 552 million people worldwide (half a billion people!).
