This morning we stumbled upon an interesting post on the Canadian Medicine blog (published by Parkhurst Exchange) that highlights five health risks specific to women. Compiled by U.S. gynecologist Jennifer Young, the list includes the following bad health behaviours that may put a woman’s health at risk:
‘ Not following up on abnormal pap smears
‘ Avoiding birth control pills with the fear that they could increase cancer risk
‘ Going off of antidepressants cold turkey instead of gradually
‘ Drinking too much alcohol
‘ Not taking folic acid until after you’ve become pregnant
