How Meghan Markle is Prepping Her Skin For The Royal Wedding
Let’s just say she has a few beauty tips up her sleeve.
The reason Meghan Markle’s skin is always glowing.
Here at Best Health, we are eagerly awaiting the Royal Wedding on Saturday, May 19th. And there is one thing in particular we’re curious about: how on point Meghan Markle’s famous glow will be. Our former cover girl has spoken quite a bit in the past about her glowing skin secrets, so we’ve gathered a few beauty tips she uses on the regular. Check out these princess-inspired wedding trends we’re loving right now.
Meghan Markle beauty tip #1: Her No-fail lip treatment
In order to get that perfect pout, sometimes it takes a little work to find the right balm. For the soon-to-be Royal, Fresh’s Sugar Lip Treatment is a go-to. In an interview with Beauty Banter, she admitted: “I have searched high and low and tried every kind of lip balm but this is the very best — soft, kissable, buttery lips. I swear by it.” Guess it’s safe to say that for her pre-wedding lip prep she’ll be treating her lips to this balm.
Meghan Markle beauty tip #2: Her go-to snack
Although this is a common snack that you probably have in your pantry at all times, almonds are apparently key in Markle’s daily diet. “If you are looking for beautiful skin, a daily serving of almonds (about 23 almonds) are the perfect addition to your diet,” says Nicole Osinga, a registered dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
During an interview in 2017, the Royal bride-to-be said that her favourite on-set snack was sliced apples and almond butter sprinkled with sea salt. And considering that almonds contain a number of nutrients that benefit skin health, including vitamin E, zinc and healthy monounsaturated fats, it’s a safe bet that this nut will be a must-have snack in her diet this week. Plus, don’t miss this step-by-step guide on how to recreate her favourite smoothie.
Meghan Markle beauty tip #3: Her sculpting face massage
As for her glowiest skin secret: a face massage. But this isn’t just any face massage, it’s recommended by her favourite London-based facialist, Nicola Joss. Markle credits Joss as being the woman behind her glowing skin, sculpted cheekbones and jawline, saying, “There’s a reason she is in high demand around awards season when every actress wants to look A-plus.”
With that being said, this massage truly is one of Joss’s mandatory glowing-skin tricks. “You want to start getting regular massages from the beginning of your skincare journey, since it not only helps remove the tension in the face, but it also really helps improve the texture when you massage with a good, clean facial oil,” said Joss in an interview with Marie Claire.
And thanks to Joss’s sculpting massage chart, you can give yourself one at home, too.
