Lululemon’s Latest Fashion Collab Will Have You Wearing Your Leggings Outside Of The Gym

Forster Rohner – a fashion player known for patterns and embroidery – partnered with Lululemon to create gorgeous gym wear you will want to wear all day.

A muscle stitch you don’t mind having

Remember the mid 2000s, when you would wear your Lululemon flared yoga pants even when you didn’t have Vinyasa class that day? Get ready. A new collab with the Canadian yoga brand will inspire you to wear their new leggings. All. Day. Long.

With a background in creating embroidery for couture houses like Dior, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Calvin Klein, Prada and Burberry, Switzerland-based textile company Forster Rohner is lunging its way into fitness with the lululemon x Forster Rohner Collection.

The capsule collection hits select stores and online November 20, including embroidered leggings, sports bras and hoodies. Our favourite pieces include:

• Foliage Energy Bra Nulux Moody Blues Black, $58 at lululemon.com.
• Wunder Under Hi-Rise Tight Nulux, $128 at lululemon.com.
• Get Set Bra Embroidered, $74 at lululemon.com.

Florals, leggings – what more could a fitness buff want?

These are truly the prettiest leggings with the most feminine embroidered florals, and it’s the first athletic brand Forster Rohner has worked with. You will feel like Miss Fancy pants at your next barre class. (It reminds us a bit of this other collaboration.)

And – like couture fashions you see on the runways – the pieces in this capsule collection are handcrafted.

“We were inspired from the current trend of embellished artwork,” Lee Holman, Lululemon’s creative director, tells Best Health. “To create this collection, we collaborated with one of the oldest embroidery houses in Europe, Forster Rohner, to individual embroider each unique artwork and then we digitally printed these artworks onto our Nulux fabrications.”

A not-so delicate little flower

Before you think these might be too delicate for a hot yoga or spin class, don’t worry. Lululemon tested them for movement and sweat.

“The print and embellishments direction for this collection is the key driver for the collaboration and it draws inspiration from the current trends from contemporary fashion shows in Europe,” says Holman. “The collection was inspired by the desire to introduce new elevated craft techniques into the athletic arena.”

So now when I’m struggling in a balance pose at the barre, I’m feeling a bit more poised and elegant. Thanks to my new leggings.

At least I won’t be making any of these workout mistakes.
