Is this the solution for balding men?
A new study reveals why balding men should just shave it all off
Source: Best Health magazine, December 2012
Tell your brother, dad or spouse: A recent study published in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science found that men facing hair loss can counteract the stigma of balding by shaving off all their hair. It seems a shaved scalp is associated with dominance and leadership.
The study examined how a man’s choice to shave his head would influence the way others perceived him. Participants (men and women) were provided with a description of a man; the only difference between descriptions was hairstyle (shaved head/thinning hair/thick hair). Men with shaven heads were rated more masculine, dominant and stronger than balding men or those with thick hair. They were also rated more attractive than men with thinning hair, but less attractive than men with all their hair.
