Pantene Pro-V Medium-Thick Hair Solutions Professional Level Damage Repair Ampoules
Anyone who knows me is familiar with the fact that I have some natural talents – like I can make a fine roast chicken – but when it comes to blow-drying my own hair at home, I’m really cooked.
If I haven’t conquered this task by now, it’s never going to happen. So, I look for products that will let
me air-dry (I do blow-dry the front–I can at least do that) and keep my hair frizz-free.
Right now, I’m loving these ampoules from Pantene. This past year, the behemoth hair company
did some major repackaging and streamlining of products so consumers could choose the best ones for their
hair type more easily. My hair falls into Pantene’s “medium thick” category.
The single-dose ampoules in little tubes are designed to help repair and prevent damage, and “resurface the cuticle to make hair silky and smooth.”
You apply one ampoule to wet hair. Then, you leave the treatment to work on hair for 5 minutes, before rinsing thoroughly.
I use them about twice a week. You can also use them less frequently, for example, only when you feel your hair needs a deep conditioning.
What makes them work? According to the company, the formula is “a blend of high-performing conditioning ingredients for intense damage repair” including dimethicone; stearyl and cetyl alcohols (“not to be confused with rubbing alcohol,
these are actually rich emollient ingredients that also have a long history of use in skin care,” says a Pantene spokesperson); and a mouthful of an ingredient that helps hair’s naturally protective lipids called behentrimonium methosulfate.
And P.S., they’re good for travelling too.
