At least 1.8 million children and young people are exploited in the global sex trade each year, according to materials from The Body Shop. And this doesn’t just happen in distant countries, but right here in Canada, too.
The Body Shop is contributing to fighting this issue with the creation of their new Soft Hands Kind Heart Hand Cream ($10). They’ll be contributing approximately $6 of every purchase to Beyond Borders, the Canadian partner in ECPAT International, a network of organizations around the world working for the elimination of child trafficking, child prostitution and child pornography.
