Fight cavities’with gum?

It sounds like ’50s sci-fi, but the science is solid: Trident has introduced a gum that actually strengthens tooth enamel to prevent cavities.

Trident Xtra Care with Recaldent, available in Peppermint, Spearmint and Passionberry, has apparently been in the works for a decade. Recaldent is a calcium derivative that has been shown to remineralize teeth, making them stronger and more resistant to decay, and Trident is currently the only gum that contains it. By chewing the gum daily, you’ll be counteracting the demineralizing effects that some foods and drinks can have on your teeth.
