If you happen to be in Longueuil, Calgary or Toronto this week, go to one of these fit and healthy events.
Longueuil, QC September 25
Starting at the Brossard Running Room (‘Quartiers Dix30, Brossard), this short but fun race (not really a race since you can run or walk the five kilometers) is part of Longueuil’s ‘La rentrée active,’ an awareness program to motivate and get the community moving and fit. This is the fourth year for the race, and there is also a one-kilometre route for kids too. For more info click here.
Calgary, AB September 25-26
I don’t know about you, but the best salons offer a good massage when they wash your hair. It feels amazing. The Canadian Centre of Indian Head Massage, based in Welland, Ont., is teaching a certification course in Indian head massage, that focuses on the face, head, neck, shoulders, upper back and upper arms for relaxation. Register here, or find someone who can give you a massage click here.
Toronto, September 28
Visit the brand-new Women’s College Hospital on Tuesday between 1 and 2 p.m. at 76 Grenville Street. You can also hear the results of the study A Thousand Voices for Women’s Health. View the event details here.
