Every year, without fail, I head to the One of a Kind Show. Actually, it’s more than every year. I go twice a year’there is also a spring show in March. And for those lucky enough to live in Vancouver or Chicago, it stops there too. Anyways, this year I went again and found some really fun and unique items that were very Best Health.
Sylwanka Clothing
These hand-embroidered cotton-blend fashions really say that its wearer is health conscious. There is a shirt with its ‘heart on its sleeve,’ ovary underwear and even a pregnancy bump one, which would be a fun way to tell friends and family. Sylwia Bartosik is a Toronto-based nurse who deisgns the line.
JJs Creations
Based out of Moncton, N.B., 23 year old Jon Black hand makes gorgeous wood cutting and butcher blocks. Black says he makes them from over 40 different types of wood. The boards are so stylish and smart, they make me want to grab a bowl of veggies and chop them up.
Olive Authentic
Olive oil is just as good outside of the body as it is in. It’s very moisturizing (try some on dry cuticles next time you’re in the kitchen), and Ron and Pamela Caron of Lakefield Quebec use it in its artisan soaps and skin care products.
