Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are three fit and healthy Canadian events this week.

Hit the trails

Tantallon, N.S., November 14

Running season isn’t over just yet, according to Halifax’s The Trail Shop, which organizes the Cuddly Coyote Trail Running Race. There are two races: a 6-K called Baby Coyote; and a 11-K, the Mama Coyote. Both are challenging runs through the hills in Tantallon, including The Friendly Giant, Killing Me Softly, Quad Break Hill and Creepy Crawly. You can register online at the Atlantic Chip website. The registration fee is $25.

Be a good parent

Toronto, November 12 to 14

The Babytime Show is geared toward expecting couples and parents of babies and small children, with more than 200 retail booths, guestspeakers and experts, including Dr. Joey Schulman and Tracey Ruiz, as well as children’s favourite characters, such as Angelina Ballerina and more. You can buy tickets ($15 for a parent, $10 for a grandparent and kids under 12 are free), at the doors of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Live a balanced life

Winnipeg, November 12

We all need more balance in our lives, right? This full-day course, Creating Work-Life Balance, taught by Wendy Loewen, will lead you through tactics to deal with stress, problem solving, social support, coping techniques, and setting goals. It is $175 for the seven-hour workshop. You can register online at the Achieve Training Centre.
