This is My Witness
Toronto, March 8
I like the idea of marking International Women’s Day by learning more about two Burmese women’s stories of survival. As the event announcements say: "When it comes to ending violence against women, it starts with being heard." The two are featured in the documentary This Is My Witness, with a premiere screening in Toronto hosted by Women’s College Hospital. The idea is for attendees to discover how global issues affect women’s lives locally, and the film will be followed by a panel discussion with leading-edge thinkers on the issue of violence against women. Admission is free, but seating is limited. RSVP to [email protected]
