Event: One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale
It’s a sure bet if you live in Canada that you are more than ready for spring weather to arrive.
It’s a sure bet if you live in Canada that you are more than ready for spring weather to arrive.
In Toronto, it’s grey, cold and the warm weather seems like an elusive, long-lost friend.
In an attempt to bring some spring into my week, I ventured down to the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto yesterday to take a peak at all the lovely, unique vendors selling their wares at the One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale.
As much as I wanted to, it was impossible to cover the whole space (being 32 weeks pregnant also kind of limits how long you can be on your feet without a serious backache and sore feet). But what I did see were bright, crafty items that I was seriously tempted to max out my credit card for. And, of course, I made sure I checked out the entire Etsy section.
Here were my faves.
The prettiest handmade mugs by Greg Voisin Pottery (image at top of post). I picked up a squirrel mug and one with some majestic Canadian geese on it.
The lovely linens from Etsy seller Misses Country.
Adorable baby clothes abound. My fave: These cute linen pants from Dagg & Stacey (this is primarily gorgeous clothing for women, but they’re started making a few baby clothes).
Cheeky company Smells Like Canada has soy candles with scents like Toronto Smoke (which I assure you smells a lot better than Toronto) and Fraser Valley Wood (image via Etsy).
The magnets from Etsy seller Amy Victoria Wakefield. Her photography is so lovely – and I was really drawn to the nature images especially (image via Etsy).
The linen tea towels and pillow covers from Etsy seller Jenna Rose Handmade (image via Etsy).
There’s so much more I loved – but I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.
The One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale is on at the Direct Energy Centre from now until March 30.
