Charity fundraiser: Dare to fight AIDS in Africa

The Stephen Lewis Foundation dares you to go bungee jumping. They double-dare you to give up coffee for a month and they double-dog dare you to raise money while doing it. The foundation’s new campaign, A Dare to Remember, is challenging Canadians to do something, anything, extraordinary to help raise funds to support women and children affected by AIDS in Africa.

The campaign, which runs from October 19 to World AIDS Day on December 1, encourages Canadians to face their fears and kick-start their creativity to honour acts of courage exhibited by people in Africa who are fighting the AIDS epidemic every day.

Fun idea, no? And what a great way to do something outside your comfort zone for a good cause. To participate, log on to the Dare to Remember site to register your nutty dare and find tools to help you fundraise. If you’re not the daring type, you can also sign up to sponsor someone else’s antics or send a dare to someone else.
