Beauty Buzz: Limited-edition Lanvin for H&M lipsticks
If you’re a fashion fan, and you’re lucky enough to live near one of the five H&M stores in Canada
If you’re a fashion fan, and you’re lucky enough to live near one of the five H&M stores in Canada that will be stocking the exclusively-designed, limited-edition collaboration with French design house Lanvin, no doubt you’re already plotting your strategy to snag a piece or two of the coveted collection when it launches on November 20th. News for beauty lovers: The lineup will also include lipstick, for the first time ever in an H&M designer collection. This is also the first time Lanvin puts its name to colour cosmetics.
The collection includes four ‘Parisian-inspired’ shades created by Lanvin designer and artistic director Alber Elbaz. Shown above, from left to right: Red, Old Rose, Hot Pink, and Bordeaux. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a preview sample of the Red shade, and it doesn’t disappoint’ the colour-coordinated tube houses a bullet of rich, highly pigmented colour with a creamy, satiny finish. Packaged in a luxe cardboard sleeve printed with the irresistibly cute "Lanvin hearts H&M" logo, these lipsticks are a steal at $14.95 a piece. (At that price, I don’t need to feel guilty for wanting to pick up the other three shades when they hit shelves’ that is, if they’re not already sold out when I get in the store!)
For even more Lanvin, pick up the November/December issue of Best Health, on newsstands next week, to see our holiday perfumes picks, including a Lanvin fragrance.
