Although local studios have shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many are dedicated to bringing the fitness community together by offering free at-home workouts via social media.
All Day Fit

For a daily dose of Barry’s Canada signature HIIT workouts, Toronto-based instructors @karinaveee and @the_cuddlycanadian are hosting live classes on their IG accounts. Just make sure to check their IG Stories the night before so you know which account they’ll be going live on.
Fit Squad Training
Every day at 12 p.m., Toronto’s beloved training facility will go live on their Instagram for a 45-minute workout. Using only your body weight for resistance, Fit Squad’s trainers will lead you through a strength training workout that’s sure to make you sweat.

BH editors’ favourite studio for barre and ballet-inspired workouts, Extension Room, is live-streaming their most popular classes. Try their Allegro Ballet Bootcamp class for a ballet-inspired cardio workout, Développé Ballet Sculpt class for a core and legs-focused workout, and barre class that’s inspired by warm-ups for professional ballerinas. Craving a morning workout? At 9 a.m., Sopearin Yos, owner of Common Ground 416, is streaming several live classes a week on his Instagram page. Along with the classes being equipment-free, they’re also suitable for all fitness levels.

Taught by trainers from around the globe, City Shred is offering a daily sweat series on their Instagram Live, which includes a range of classes from HIIT, mobility training to flow and breath sessions. A kid’s dance, yoga and mindfulness program is also set to launch the week of March 23.
