Lovers of the great outdoors rejoice! Health Canada recently approved Mozi-Q, an all-natural oral mosquito repellent that also claims to repel black flies and other biting bugs. The chewable tablet, developed by a Calgary woman, is made from staphysagria, a substance derived from delphinium plants that was discovered to be a natural insect repellent in the 1960s. Mozi-Q requires about 30 minutes to take effect, so be sure to take the first dose before heading outdoors; follow label directions. ($25 for box of 60; available at select health food retailers, mozi-q.com)
